Mode of Assessment

All courses are assessed by a combination of end-of-course written papers (70%) and continuous assessment (30%). Continuous assessment will be undertaken via a combination of methods including:

  • Multiple choice test papers,
  • Case studies,
  • Project work,
  • Team / group exercises,
  • Term essays
  • And other written submissions.

Where appropriate, group projects will be marked both via written submission and presentations. Where group assessment is employed, marking will include a 10% element for peer assessment. Grade points will be allocated to the final mark got in every course unit according to the table below.

A student will be considered to have failed the course unit if he/she fails to get a grade point equal to 2.0.
